The military-industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned about is still in control of U.S. foreign policy. The vast majority of both Democratic and Republican legislators continue to support a continued military buildup. The crisis in the Ukraine is a natural result of years of U.S. attempts to rule the world both economically and militarily. United States presidents have always worked to make United States based companies free to exploit the resources of other countries. The fact that the United States is partly to blame for the buildup of NATO surrounding Russia does not excuse the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Assassinations by United States forces in other countries now seems to be part of official policy. No arrest, not court case, just drone justice.
