After an expected signing by President Biden, retired teachers in California (like me) who had worked under social security as well as under the State Retirement System have had their social security reduced by up to 50% because of a federal law will now receive their full social security obligation beginning for the 2024 year. This is a great victory led by the American Federation of Teachers and other public employee unions.
